William Tempest & The Sony VAIO P-Series

By Cate Sevilla

As part of the new Sony VAIO traveller program, Sony has set a challenge for the hot new 23-year-old designer, William Tempest. Tempest recently won the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award and has been worn by everyone from Lily Allen to Emma Watson and Girls Aloud - and Sony now want Tempest to test the abilities of their new P Series.

Throughout the early springs months of March and April, Tempest will be taking his P-Series with him from the catwalk, to his studio, and along on his journey to becoming one of the top UK talents. (Britain's Next Top Laptop?)

If you're a P-Series owner, you'll be pleased to know that Tempest has also designed a clutch using his signature "crushed diamond" print canvas. Covered in a layer of clear PVC (haaaawt) and with extra padding on the inside to protect the your P Series laptop, I'm not exactly sure I'd be comfortable carrying around my most precious gadget in a clutch, but this bag certainly is fantastic to look at - just like the Sony VAIO P-Series.

Weighing in at only at less than 640g, Sony have made the P-Series more of a lifestyle accessory for bloggers and folks who need a lightweight laptop with them wherever they go, rather than just throwing together another netbook.

The VAIO's X-Black LCD high resolution screen and it's well-spaced keys and a full width chassis are perfect as they won't make feel like you're hunched over a teeny tiny laptop or have suddenly grown a pair of hands the size of The Hulk's.(Which we've found is the case with most netbooks.)

The P-Series comes in red, black, dark green and white, and will be accompanying other well known busy folks in the UK and across Europe and Russia as they go about their jam-packed schedules.

You can follow William, his P-Series and the rest of the travellers on the road  at Sony VAIO's website!
