What Does One Wear to a 'Fashmob'?

By Laura Silver

Tomorrow evening, at precisely 6pm, London's Kings Cross St Pancras station will be overcome with elegance, decadence and monochrome, as the Chanel 'Fashmob' snakes stylishly through the station. The event co-incides with the release of Coco Before Chanel, a new biopic of the infamous designer starring Audrey Tatou.

Alongside the question of what will actually happen, is the more pressing question of what to wear! It is a fair assumption that most of us don't have any actual Chanel kicking about,  but it 'aint that hard to pay tribute to fashion's favourite Mademoiselle on the cheap.

Nothing says Chanel like a string of pearls, and this rather nice cream pearl necklace, £8 from Miss Selfridge comes with another classic Chanel twist: a lovely big bow. Wear with a plain black dress for an instant look of the Rue Cambon.

If you are feeling crafty, why not replace the buttons on a cardigan, or even better, a blazer, with some big round gold ones. For as little as £1.26 a button from Sew Essential, you can work Chanel's nautical side to perfection.

Ah the 2.55, how we love you, how we are jealous of Nicola Roberts for being such good friends with you... If you don't want to shell out over £1000 for a handbag though, you can head on over to trusty Topshop for a far more economic knockoff. We love this quilted tab cross body bag, £25 from Topshop. Chain strap: Check! Monochrome: Check! Totes Chanel darling!

Look out for @bitchbuzz at Kings Cross tomorrow. We will be decked out in all the above!
