Beach holiday are awesome. You can tan! You can swim! You can wear floaty dresses, your hair in braids, and a bikini top instead of bra.
But wearing a full face of makeup to the beach is sort of unnecessary, eh?
I wish I could tell you that when I go to the beach, I just grab a hair band and a bottle of SPF 30 and that that’s my beauty routine. However, I will admit, I wear makeup to the beach and to the pool. Maybe not hell of a lot, but still, some. Call me silly and insecure, but I doubt I’m the only one.
However, I have found a couple products that are perfect for your “I am fancy and free” beach makeup routine.
This is the first tinted moisturizer I’ve used, and I am completely blown away. Not only does it have SPF15 in it, but its coverage is actually really impressive! As someone who hates foundation and has a hard time finding something that’s not only the right shade, but the right level of coverage, You Rebel Lite blows my damn mind.
If you’re going to the beach, this is perfect, as not only will it give you coverage, but it will protect your precious face from the sun, and keep you moisturized at the same time.
If you find that You Rebel Lite isn’t enough for spots or dark circles under your eyes, adding a bit of Boi-ing will help out - a cream based, “industrial strength” concealer. The combination of the Boi-ing and You Rebel Lite is perfect, as it still gives you a natural look, without making you conscience that you look tired or spotty. Which is a plus.
OPI’s “Por Favor” & “Mother Rose Road”
Regardless if you’re nice and tanned, fake-baked or pale as, well, me, these colors will look brilliant on you. Having freshly painted fingers and toes is always nice, especially if you’re going to the beach. I personally hate getting pool side and realizing I forgot to change my chipped, month-old nail toenail polish, so painting to nails the day before heading off on a beach holiday is a nice little treat!
