The advertising image used for the Rodial Bum Lift is strangely alluring and depressing at the same time,
Alluring because it features a well toned/photoshopped tush baring all in Brazilian bikini bottoms and depressing because no matter how hard you rub you know the cream will never magically cause your cheeks to become tight, high and rounded.
But can it give you any effect, or will you just be wasting a hundred of your hard earned pounds?
Rodial has a wealth of high end products in its table, some incredibly magical (Glamotox Night: Best face mask EVER) and some less so (Glam Balm wipes: £14 on a wet wipe...no thanks) but good or bad, they ain’t recession friendly.
They’re not doing themselves any favours when they try and appeal to the ‘younger’ market by calling the gel cream your ‘BBF’ which they ‘wittily’ say is your Booty’s Best Friend, either.
Price and humour aside though, this is actually pretty good product. It has a lightweight gel texture which is easily absorbed and leaves the skin feeling like velvet. As with all slimming/cellulite products you’re advised to massage it in firmly, and all of us in the know realize that this is often the main reason you see results, as the massaging action stimulates lymphatic drainage.
The product contains an array of impressive sounding ingredients, from wheat protein and vegetable collagen to pomegranate tannin. The wheat protein produces an immediate firming reaction in the skin, which means you temporarily have a tighter looking tush, but of course this will vanish without regular applications.
I liked the texture of the gel and how quickly it was absorbed, and the effect on the skin was immediately noticeable. If you’re on a budget I’d probably suggest you give this a miss. Even though it’s good, it’s not the wonder you’ve been hoping for. But if money is no object this is great option to help smooth and lift those glutes... temporarily.
Rodial Bum Lift is a whopping £97.87 and can be purcahsed online at Rodial's website.
