I wasn’t invited to London Fashion Week – there must have been a problem with my phone and the postal system or something – but the live streams and daily reports left me gagging to get up close and personal to some designer collections, so I hot-footed it to the next best thing: London Fashion Weekend.

Every year during London fashion week there seems to be some sort of row about size. Last autumn a stylist famously stormed out after a designer chose to use ”normal” models. A couple of years before that then women's minister Tessa Jowell tired to get

The Antoni & Alison “How Can I Be You” presentation at Somerset House was one of the most creative and in-depth presentations I saw throughout the duration of Fashion Week. While most presentations are just about showing off latest collections, Antoni & Alison’s wasn't just about the clothes, but more about the women who wear them.

While the male designers showing at London Fashion Week, such as Jeff Garner, Henry Holland, David Koma and Johnny Blue Eyes - may be blowing our minds, there are also many a talented female designer out there who deserve just as much praise.

Although the organization of the House of Holland show Saturday night at the Bloomsbury Ballroom was beyond a catastrophe, BitchBuzz was backstage before the show, hanging with Henry, the models, and observing the “magic”.Henry himself was actually quite calm and collected during rehearsals (despite models turning up late) and was his usual charming self behind the scenes, boppin’ and groovin’ to the R&B tunes while the models practiced strutting up and down the catwalk before show...

After the extreme hustle and bustle at the Bloomsbury Ballroom last night for the House of Holland show, this morning’s Welsh Designer Collective show seemed relatively quiet. In fact, it was so quiet; I almost forgave My Beautiful City and Blow PR for their horrendous organization.I went into the Welsh Designer Collective show not knowing what to expect. Where there going to be sheep? Tartans? Perhaps lots of wool? Essentially, I thought of every Welsh stereotype I could muster, and e...

I underwent a wrist operation a couple of weeks ago, which has rendered me useless in the exercise department. I’m not a fan of gyms and tend to do exercise as part of my daily grind; i.e. cycling or more measured exercise such as yoga. Unfortunately both of these have been banned for a good few months by my surgeon due to the trauma they would create, hindering on my wrists total recovery. As luck would have it, I came across The Guardian & Observer’s free booklets on walking and ...

I’ve been swishing for about two years, but up until now had kept it among friends. That was until this weekend, when I found myself at an organised swishing group, for people who live with the same addiction as me. And, my, was it good to share. For any swishing virgins out there, it’s all about trading clothes you no longer want for ones that you do, with the leftovers going to a nominated charity. It’s a way to cleanse and replenish your closet without spending a penny or wrestling w...

While having a handbag the size of a small country seems to have been the big trend of the last five years or so – sometimes having a little clutch is nice, as well. It’s far easier to locate your wallet/purse, lipstick and mobile phone, and you don’t end up knocking over small children every time you turn around.
