It might sound trivial, but for many female cancer sufferers, losing their hair is one of the most traumatic things about the whole experience. I don’t think you can really understand the impetus of losing your hair until it happens to you; I certainly can’t imagine how I’d feel. I almost think, how bad could it be? But of course that’s because I’ve never had to deal with it.

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Wildfox Bloggers event and was very excited to preview the Spring 2010 'Young Guns' collection. Wildfox is definitely the brand to be seen in and comprises of a gorgeous range of t-shirts, tanks, leggings, bike shorts and sweatshirts that have a distinct laid back rock chic edge.

It's impossible to leave a Yeah Yeah Yeahs gig without talking about dear Karen O and her outfits (we also like her two male counterparts, but they don't wear half as much glitter). Last night at the Brixton Academy (see them live if you can, they're fantastic) she was a butterfly, also appearing briefly as a paper-based Indian Chief and god did she look stylish. But how?

When it gets to this stage in the winter, all you really want to wear is cosy, oversized knitwear, and thanks to Burberry, Etro and Alexander Wang, throwing a big, chunky man-jumper over a dress or skin-tight jeans is not just toasty, warm, and baggy enough to disguise the fact that you're cramming a years worth of mince pies into two months, but stylish too.

We're all aware that high street brands are inspired by top-end beauty counters. Think back to last year when Estee Lauder released the vibrating mascara, only to be copied by Maybelline this year. We know it happens, and we don't really mind, as it means we're able to try out the latest shades on a budget.

The lie of socks being bad presents at Christmas is a terrible one - I give my Father a pair every year and each year he seems all the more pleased.
