We Scandinavians seem to be internationally renowned for our style and beauty. It’s a stereotype I’ve had a hard time grasping. It’s not really something you’d take for granted after having been out to the eastern parts of Helsinki on a Sunday morning. However, there are certain pockets of extreme styleliciousness in Scandinavia. Any major Swedish city would do.

Like most of the rest of the population of London, I spent yesterday in the park having a picnic. There’s nothing like that first weekend of summer when the sun actually comes out and enables you to enjoy the great outdoor.
I think half the city descended on the park I was in – the local supermarket had sold out of baguettes and hummus by the time we got there at 1pm – true fact! Twee it might be, but I’m always a fan of dressing appropriately for my activities, so here’s a selection ...

During the summer, I find that I make a far greater effort with beauty routines for the whole body; scrubbing, cellulite creams, fake tan and all that. It could be because the short skirts would otherwise look far more offensive, or because I have been subconsciously conditioned by years of reading ‘perfect summer body!’ features, but either way, I am far more likely to whack out the body brush between May and September.

Not gonna lie, the first (and second, third, fourth, fifth…) time I saw Susan Boyle’s performance of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, I cried like a small baby.
You know those nights when you feel like making yourself cry a bit and you put on a sad film? I watched Susan on repeat for about two hours, wailing more and more each time, until eventually I was covered in snot and had white streaks in my fake tan on either cheek.

Purchasing sunglasses can be tricky. Personally, I never want to spend too much because I might sit on them, or there's always the chance of them ending up scratched or lost.
Or, if you hate shopping and you want to simply walk over to Topshop or Urban Outfitters to buy your sunglasses, chances are that there's going to be roughly 5.000 other girls with the exact same pair.

The future’s bright, the future’s… well, any colour you like really, as long as it’s, uh, bright. In the last of my semi-regular series of trends for spring/summer, it’s the turn of the dreaded neon. Although not a summer staple in the same way that nautical and safari seem to be, neons pop up on the runway with some regularity most summers.

This month, high street store New Look, was awarded a prestigious Drapers Footwear Award for their high-quality, yet low-priced shoes. I have been a fan of their shoes for years, which are not only on-trend, but well-made and a fraction of the cost of high street competitors.

I had never really payed much attention to Luella before now, but after Mademoiselle Robot and I went into their shop at Bicester Village, I've been a teeny bit obsessed.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited along with some other fabulous bloggers for a shopping day at Bicester Village. Prior to this invite, I had no idea what Bicester Village was. (Never mind how to pronounce it.)

Seal and Heidi Klum are the greatest celebrity couple on the planet. I’m sorry, that’s just a fact that you’re going to have get used to if you aren’t already agreed. I’ve asked around, and it emerges that everyone agrees. Who could possibly rival them? They actually have it all.
Stunning good looks (on both sides! I hate this ‘Seal’ a bit weird-looking talk), successful careers (is there a model more fun than Heidi?), beautiful kids and extended adopted kids, stellar fancy dress war...
