Princess Hair in a Box: Salon Confidential Extensions

I don’t know about you, but I am never happy about my hair: when it is long, I am desperate for an edgy bob and after I’ve chopped it off, I pine for a long mane.It is the same for the texture… Basically, I am the perfect candidate for hair extensions, except that I don’t have the budget necessary to get real ones (it will cost you about £700 to get a full head of extensions at a London salon).

Four Fabulous Shoes for Spring

There are some shoes that are good for the soul. I am a shoe addict, so there may be more shoes in my house that have this calmative effect than in most people’s closets – but even ignoring my compulsive addiction I insist that sometimes a pair of wonderful shoes can make you feel brilliant. There are the shoes that are all about sex. About the delicate curve of your ankle, the swinging rhythm of your hips, the flash of glossy red nail varnish on your toes. The sole you see reflected in...

Tried and Tested: Diva Hot Wand

Weak, limp, lifeless…my hair doesn’t curl like Cheryl Cole’s. It’s fine and straight and seems pretty set on staying this way.So I was expecting my experience with Diva’s Hot Wand to be as anticlimactic as those I’ve had with ceramic rollers and curling tongs. Previously any curls I’ve managed to create have fallen out into wispy waves in less time than its taken to empty a can of hairspray.

Why We Love Anna Lou of London

One of my all time favourite shops in London absolutely has to be Anna Lou of London. Never mind my love for acrylic jewellery , there is just something incredibly unique about Anna Lou's designs. A whimsical and colourful combination of British culture, royalty, sparkles, animals and pop culture, Anna Lou of London's collections are always full of quirky character.

Bobbi Brown's "Pretty to Pretty Powerful" Campaign

We all wear makeup for a reason. For a lot of women (including myself)  it’s about confidence. Sometimes we wear makeup to cover things up, whether it be a gigantic spot that just won’t go away, or those telling signs that we’ve not been getting enough sleep or drinking enough water. But for the most part, aside from it being the social norm and the biggest beauty standard of all, women wear makeup to enhance their looks. Some of us like to look a bit more dramatic on a regular ...

INOA: L’Oreal's Revolutionary Hair Colouring Treatment

For those of you who are a slave to hair colouring (that’s probably most of us then), despite the love of your colour, you probably fear but ignore the effects on your hair that continuous colouring will have. Whilst we all know that colouring your hair does damage it due to the chemicals drying out the hair, the harsh fact in the long-term is that our hair really isn’t going to look too hot. Ammonia is the main culprit ingredient which can lead to scalp irritation and that nasty feeli...
