If you’re looking for a spot of Christmas present inspiration then I may have found you just the thing. Now, I know a scarf may scream unimaginative, but believe me, these silk beauties will score you some serious points in the present-giving department.
The scarves in question are by a brand called Beta Fashion. The brand is a global fashion collaboration initiative working on an open platform with artists from around the world to bring us fashion-loving folks the ultimat...

Double denim has been all over the catwalk, but would you ever wear it yourself?
Finally, it’s safe to parade around town wearing the Canadian tuxedo. What does that mean you ask? All you need to do is recall the last time you saw someone sporting head to toe denim, particularly the denim shirt and jeans combo.

This week’s review is dedicated to one of my favourite ever make up ranges - the Extreme Art liquid eyeliner by Danish cosmetics company GOSH.

One trend that I always have loved is the military trend. Buttons, padded shoulders, sharp angles – I love it all. Perhaps I've watched too many World War II dramas, but there’s something about military-style coats and boots that tickles my fancy.
The only problem with double-breasted, knee-length coats is that they usually cost a pretty penny. From Belstaff’s famous Sherlock coat to

It might be party season, but that doesn't mean you just have to wear sparkly heels. There are some fantastic flats out there for those of us who can't exactly walk in four inch heels...
It’s around this time of year that shops are hit with a glitter and sequin stick comparable to the size of the state of California. The shiny glitter, sequins layered on top of sequins, multicoloured crystals and stones dripping off dresses and skirt hems, and diamante ha...

Skincare is always a tricky thing to change. Most of us have tried and tested products we swear by and stick to - lord knows the trouble you get if you mess with the regime and end up spotty, allergic and with a paper bag over your head for your efforts.
Personally, I am a sensitive skinned belle with the usual combination story (t-zone shine, large pores and prone to spots - attractive). I tend to favour Elemis products, Clarins, Dr Hauschka Melvita and, more recently, ...

The lady I’d most like to be this week is Emma Watson. Never mind that she’s eight years younger than me. Looking up to girls barely out of their teens is perfectly acceptable. Isn’t it? Hello? Please?
Acceptable or not, I don’t usually notice magazine covers but this month’s UK Vogue caught my attention. Emma is on the front looking frickin' amazing, all short hair and perfect skin and Knowing Look. I even took a picture. Because I am cool.

This month sees the online launch of Cowshed Living , the “lifestyle essentials” range from the guys behind the Spas at Shoreditch, Soho and Babington House.

This season’s 1950s look is not only a passing trend, it’s a lady-like return to the past that is influenced by both Miuccia Prada and Mad Men.
Taking your cue from the 1950s doesn’t mean you have to have dinner on the table every night at 6pm sharp (or risk the wrath of your husband) and only speak when spoken to. Even though a new state of the art hoover and a matching apron/oven mitts set no longer excites ...

From recession to the increase in VAT and the budget cuts and the OHMYGODIT’SALMOSTCHRISTMAS panic, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has sobbed softly when looking at their bank balance lately. One of the first things that always gets the guillotine when it comes to saving money is luxury, and for a lot of us, that means our beauty routine has to change.
