London Fashion Week is up and rollin’ and teetering around in its ridiculous high heels. Being a “civivlian” at LFW gives you a different perspective on everything. I love seeing the collections of new designers, old favourites, and more than anything else, I love watching the journalist, fashion bloggers, the wannabe fashion bloggers, and exhibitors parade around in their best garb.

The fashion circus rolled into London town today for the beginning of Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Week.
Joan Collins has already been spotted sporting shoulder-pads that put her Dynasty days to shame, and even joker Bo-Jo put in an appearence.
As well as shows, Fashion Week is filled with exhibitors touting their wares.

When it comes to underwear, I am a strong believer that you should always wear the correct size bra – that sounds obvious but in fact many of us don’t. Making that trip the ever faithful M&S and getting yourself measured is worth it because when you find a bra that fits properly it can literally make you feel like you’ve had a boob job!

It’s almost London Fashion Week here in, well, London – and all the fashionistas are currently aflutter, tossing and turning over what they should wear, fretting over what will happen if they run into Anna Wintour, and reading Vogue and F5ing the Topshop blog every three seconds to gain some inspiration.

Eyeliner has been around since Egyptian times, where Cleopatra used to use it to highlight her eyes. Back then they didn’t have the wide array of formulas we have now and often had to resort to using products that scratched and damaged the skin. They did use kohl however, which is still in use in many solutions today, though we’ve refined it - as it used to be made from a mix of ores, ash, and burnt almonds!

Textile trends this winter are decidedly '80s – think velvet, lace, leather and not much else. Luckily shapes and textile formulations themselves have come a long way since the decade that style forgot and wearing head-to-toe leather no longer means sweating like a dog/talcum powder incidents a la Ross in Friends.
