London is undoubtedly the most experimental of all the fashion weeks, and it is certainly exciting to witness some of the bold, avant garde creations that come out of our quirky little city. Where else in the world would you find jewell encrusted surgical masks, gold studs and glittered torsos, high street stores getting all 90's, or a dog on the catwalk?
But sometimes (just sometimes mind), it is nice to see something you could actually wear, and in that respect, Alice Palmer's show at Vauxhall Fashion Scout on Saturday did not disappoint.
The collection consisted of effortlessly sexy jersey-dresses in a muted palette of creams, dove grey, cobalt and black, embellished with bronze chains, and architectural pleating.
There was more than one nip-slip from the dramtically plunging necklines, and some incredibly sheer dresses, which to a certain extent detracted from the wearability of the pieces, but I'm pretty sure all could be rectified with a good bra and a bit of tit-tape!
Ultimately though, the draping knit, and folded pleats which creativly structured the otherwise slouchey dresses made for a collection of alluringly vampy dresses that we can totes imagine working at a party.
