At the winter Bust Craftacular, which took place in Bethnal Green last weekend, there was enough quirky jewellery to please even the most discerning of magpies. As well as old and well known favourites including Tatty Devine, quirky jewellery designer, Eclectic Eccentricity really caught my eye.
While the name, and equally saccharine tagline, ‘Jewellery with inspired kookiness’, might be as likely to induce vomming as fully-grown women drinking from a child’s tea-set and snaffling ‘too-cute-to-eat’ cupcakes whilst wearing Cath Kidston, their wares are something seriously worth coveting.
The collection, inspired by vintage jewellery and their creator’s love of quirky knick-knacks, features a huge selection of necklaces, brooches, earrings, hair-pins and rings adorned with all sorts of gorgeous charms, from pirate’s daggers and tigers, to lustrous enamel roses and whimsically engraved love letters.
True vintage fiends will love their limited edition, sepia toned watch pendant or classic cameo locket, while ‘kookier’ types will lap up the more unique pieces such as a gorgeous watering-can necklace, complete with Swarovski water-drop, or their rather unusual monkey pendant.
Best of all, the pieces are really reasonably priced, ranging from as little as £7.50 for the Jezebelle Rose Ring to around £50 for more intricate pieces, with most necklaces sitting around the £15 mark.
If you missed Eclectic Eccentricity at the Craftacular, all of their stock is available from their gorgeous website, or you can follow them on twitter to find out about craft and vintage fairs they are attending.
