Get The Look: Kirsten Dunst's Super Kawaii Harajuku FAIL

By Rachael Gibson

Kirsten Dunst has fallen off the celeb radar a little of late.

I remember the old days when you couldn't log onto Go Fug Yourself of a morning without seeing a picture of good old KiKi D in yet another curious ensemble, but what now? Where has she been hiding? Well, reader, I have the answer.

Kirsten has quit the movie industry and moved to Japan to reinvent herself as a Lolita girl. I know! It surprised me too but here are the pictures to prove it.

She's decided to invest her relative fortune in a wardrobe of the best outfits Jessica Louise and Cutie Dyamite have to offer.

The outfit you see her in here is an everyday look - something subtle and simple for running errands. Her evening look is a sight to behold, I assure you. All crinolines and props and bows and coordinating outfits with her new pals. Oh, and did you notice the hair? Yeah just trying something new. She just fancied a change, what's the big deal Hollywood? She's quirky, deal with it.

Kirsten tells me that she's planning on setting up a cupcake shop that also sells puppies and magic and hairbows. I think she said it was gonna be called "Super kawaii omg is J-Pop and all that Harajuku stuff still cool?". Something like that anyway, it lost something in translation.

Personally I wish her all the best in her endeavours. Making such high-brow, life-changing movies as Crazy/Beautiful and Get Over It takes it right out of a gal.

The highs, the lows - as KiKi herself once said (and I quote):

"I really wanted the MTV Award the most, It was a golden popcorn container and it looks really neat."

Sometimes life just deals a cruel hand and if your way of getting over it is to move to Japan and reinvent yourself as a Gothic Lolita doll then good for you. It worked for Gwen Stefani for a while there.

Actually, if you want to know the truth, the Superman star is in Tokyo filming a music video with the preposterously named director McG. But I'd rather believe my version of events.
