Finishing Touches: Gorgeous Headbands

By Cate Sevilla

Keeping your glorious face out of the sun during summer is very important.

However, there are times when wearing a big, floppy hat just won’t do, and having a cute little fascinator adorning your head is the only way to go.

If you’re not into flowers and bows, then perhaps these nifty finds we discovered online will tickle your fancy. (In a strictly platonic way, of course.)

The Starlette Crown from Giant Dwarf on Etsy

I discovered this gorgeous crown on Mighty Girl’s blog, and I instantly fell in love.  Made from German glass glitter and Vanilla Fancy Felt, and only $50, I think this is the perfect accessory for going out on the town, or to wear at home if you’re having a bad day.

I’m not really a small hat person. I’ve seen people with tiny top hats strapped to their head, and I cringe every time. However, there’s something about this fascinator from Mod Cloth that makes me smile. How cute would this be on a picnic or at BBQ? Plus, it’s pretty cheap, clocking in at only $35.

Oh, how I covet this headband. Between the gorgeous vintage feathers and brooches, I couldn't even tell you what my favourite part about it is. Granted, I have no idea where I’d wear this, but there’s just something about it, non? Does anyone have $300 I can borrow?

Sonia Rykiel’s Bibi Serre Tete

This headband is beautiful. Oddly shaped and made of black acrylic and polka dotted with tiny crystals, this fascinator headband will set you back about €102, but is well worth it in my book!
