An Online Sample Sale Newbie: TheSavvy.com

By Anna Hennings

Who doesn't love fabulous clothes at a discount, clothes that retail for at least two or three (or four?) times the price you paid for them? It's an offer that's truly hard to refuse. That's why I love sample sales...but frequently loathe that there aren't more of them in San Francisco. The perfect solution? Online sample sales. And while these sites seem more and more popular as an online shopping resource, one of the latest sale sites caught my eye.

TheSavvy.com promotes both exclusive online and in-person, brick-and-mortar sample sales -- what I might consider the best of both worlds (well, if you live in New York and are able to shop at the ones in person, anyway). What's even better? Their merchandise isn't off-season -- it's the latest, hot collections that are flying off the racks at Neimans. If a designer has leftovers from a canceled order or returns, off to TheSavvy they go!

For the remainder of October, gear up for an online Staerk sale on the 21st, and from the 27th through the 30th, shop Max Mara and Max & Co.

The line-up for the holiday season? Thus far, TheSavvy has Rebecca Taylor, L.A.M.B. & Jill Stuart handbags, Elizabeth & James, and Catherine Malandrino waiting in the wings among a few others, with exact dates to be determined.

The website is technically still under construction, but worth checking out nonetheless! Get some insider's access while you can!

You don't have to register or become a member to shop. You can literally just start shopping!
